We are Marc and Pam. During our working days, our travels were on a typical American two-week vacation pace, occasionally extending to a massive three-week adventure.
One trip we visited the Nordic Region, all 5 Countries, in 26 days!
After that whirlwind (and the rest required after), the idea of Slow Travel captivated us.
Marc's ideal stay starts with a meticulous neighborhood exploration, turning left and right, circling our block to understand the town.
Meanwhile, I dive into new places, visiting downtown museums, libraries, and cultural centers that define the essence of each town.

Slow Travel has many names - Slowmad, Unrushed Adventures, Mindful Roaming, Extended Stay Wanderlust, and my personal favorite
In-depth Peregrination. (Look it up, its a real word)
For us, it means deliberately staying in a single City for several weeks, learning about the area. and living our day-to-day life.

We believe in "Probably" travel. This is our current plan, but... it will probably change and will likely be adjusted and might possibly never happen.

We use a Cruise as our Taxi!!
There are many ways to move around the planet. Repositioning cruises give us a way to travel long distances without jet lag.

This area has been on Pam's life list forever to see the sites and have an "Italian" life.

We will give Tokyo a try for a month during Cherry Blossom season. We are now a small part of the 15 million residents of the City

A three week stop in Japan's second Capitol City

Three weeks in a bustling City and the World Expo just opened and we have tickets!

No Octoberfest, but beer is always good

Marc passed through Berlin when there was an East and West (A story of its own) and there is so much to learn about the changes since then.

A slow travel across the North and South Islands. It will be our home for Christmas and we will ring in 2025!!

House sitting Port Macquarie and a bit of exploration of Sydney and Melbourne

Hotter than I expected, but our AirBnb was in a great location.
We were lucky to get in to Panama as travel had been limited due to conflicts within the country. In the end we felt safe, The Presidential Palace was our neighbor.

Two people, a four bedroom house and a lifetime collection of "stuff". If we wanted to move into a Slowmad way of life, we'd need to get rid of it all. Getting down to a checked bag and a carry on each has been one emotional trip. Here's how it we did it

Marc and I have spent our careers building million dollar projects, running mostly on schedules and test runs. How would we know that Slow Travel would work for us? We tried it out with a 5 week trip to Washington D.C. Technically our Airbnb was in Maryland, but close enough.
Send us a message about meeting up, catching up, or sharing ideas for current or future adventures or places to visit.
